First Baptist Church of Wauchula is in an exciting phase of ministry. We recently hired a new Senior Pastor with a dynamic vision to reach people for Christ. Our desire is to become a disciple-making church that is known for its love and joy in our community. We are looking for a highly relational, fun, and energetic leader with a heart for students and families. In this position you will oversee the Jr and Sr High ministries, helping our students take their next steps in Christ. You will plan and run the Wednesday night and Sunday morning youth meetings and organize/lead any other youth outreach or service events.

Our youth ministry typically has between 120-150 students. This ministry is currently well supported through volunteer leadership. We have an exceptional youth ministry building called The Rock which has a worship room, several classrooms, and outdoor recreational equipment such as a basketball hoop, a volleyball net, nine square, and a ga ga ball pit.

Because of the size of our youth ministry, we are looking for someone with the education and experience to be able to handle leading over 100 students as well as the ability to lead many youth volunteers.

Qualifications desired:
● Profess Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior
● Be of Southern Baptist faith and philosophy (preferably ordained as a Southern Baptist)
● Be committed to personal growth and stewardship, and growing in faith and character
● Bachelor's degree (preferably a seminary degree)
● Minimum 3 years experience working in youth ministry
