Awana on Wednesday Nights
Helping Kids Know, Love, and Serve Jesus
At First Baptist Church Wauchula, our Awana program is designed to help children grow in their understanding of God’s Word and build lasting faith through fun, engaging, and age-appropriate activities. Each week, kids experience a dynamic mix of Bible teaching, Scripture memory, small group discipleship, and exciting games — all in a welcoming, Christ-centered environment.
BE DILIGENT TO PRESENT YOURSELF APPROVED, A WORKER WHO DOES NOT NEED TO BE ASHAMED... 2 TIMOTHY 2:15
Awana offers a curriculum that reaches kids and their families with the gospel. This proven curriculum develops leaders and disciples kids to walk with Christ for life. Lessons are designed to meet kids where they are, teach them about the Gospel in a way they will understand, and encourage them to memorize Scripture.
WHAT DOES AN AWANA CLUB NIGHT LOOK LIKE?
Awana Clubs are filled with high energy fun, fellowship, and spiritual growth. Wednesday night meetings are divided into three main divisions:
GAME TIME
Game Time is comprised of exciting team-oriented games exclusive to Awana that stress healthy competition and good sportsmanship.
LARGE GROUP
Large Group Time is a gathering of all the kids in one specific club for a time of interactive games, worship, videos, and the teaching of God’s Word.
SMALL GROUP
Small Group Time is where children memorize Scripture. This is where children work with their leaders to learn God’s Word, understand the meaning, and apply it to their lives.
Preschool Age Clubs
Puggles (Ages 2-3)
Puggles introduces toddlers to simple truths about God and His creation through songs, play, and fun lessons. They begin to understand that God made them, God loves them, and Jesus wants to be their friend forever.
Cubbies (Ages 4-5)
Cubbies enjoy hands-on learning, Bible stories, memory verses, and crafts. They build a strong foundation of faith while developing important social and spiritual skills.
School Age Clubs
Sparks (Grades K-2)
Sparks learn about the people and events of the Bible while memorizing Scripture and exploring God’s plan of redemption. Through interactive lessons, they begin to see how the whole Bible points to Jesus.
T&T (Grades 3-5)
T&T challenges older elementary kids to grow deeper in their faith, explore real-life applications of Scripture, and practice leadership through teamwork and service. These students are encouraged to make their faith personal and live it out boldly.
